One of the most anticipated days of the year at Holy Spirit Catholic School is getting close…Grandparents’ Day! On Friday, October 11, 2019 Holy Spirit Catholic School will be hosting its 15th Annual Grandparents’ Day celebration.

Grandparents’ Day is an exciting opportunity for our students to spend time with their grandparents or a special friend and show them their classrooms and meet their classmates.

From Venezuela to Italy, we’ve had grandparents come from all over the world.  Grandparents’ Day is the one day of the year where our hallways are filled with generations of love and laughter.

Our theme this year is a Morning of Celebrating Peace, Love and Jesus.

The day will start off at 9:00 a.m. in the church.  The students will entertain their grandparents with song and a short play.  At the start of the school year, our music teacher, Mr. Olmos and theater arts teacher, Mrs. Martinez began teaching the students a program that, in the past, has always brought a smile to our grandparents’ faces.  With a 60’s theme to the music, our grandparents might even start singing along.

After the program, grandparents with their grandchild, will have the opportunity to walk around the school, have a tasty treat in the banquet room, Adopt-A-Book in the library and take a family picture.

Grandparents’ Day is a half day, so grandparents can continue their special day with their grandchild after school dismisses.

We look forward to seeing all our grandparents soon! It brings us much joy to see the pride on the grandparent’s faces while hugging and spending time with their grandchild.
