Texas Bluebonnet Award
At Holy Spirit, students in 3rd-5th grade have the opportunity to participate in the Texas Bluebonnet Award. Each year, a Master List of 20 books is chosen for students to read and vote on by the TBA committee. In order to participate and be eligible to vote for their favorite book students must read at least 5 of the books on the list. To verify they have read each book, students should fill out the following form for each 2014-2015 Bluebonnet Book they read: 2014-2015 Texas Bluebonnet Award Reading Log

Texas Lone Star Reading List
The Texas Lone Star Reading List is a yearly list of recommended books for middle school students. The purpose of the the list is to encourage recreational reading and expose students to a variety of current books. Each year a new list is developed by Texas librarians and contains books that have all been favorably reviewed for middle school students in professional review sources. As with all middles school appropriate book, all books may not be appropriate for all readers. Please use the annotated list below to help you choose books that are right for you.
